As an OFFSHORE PROJECTS TECHNICAL MANAGER, you will join our MILAN OFFSHORE TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT department within the Asset Based Services business line (excluding Drilling), overseeing:

Mission:

Manage and supervise project process/engineering design activities for offshore facilities, ensuring project objectives related to time, cost, and quality are met. Coordinate with the project engineering team and relevant central functions.

Collaborate with project managers/directors in defining, monitoring, and updating project execution plans, maintaining active engagement with key project functions.

Tasks:

• Define project engineering organization charts and staff roles in collaboration with the Head of Department.
• Review contractual documents and interface engineering activities with other project functions.
• Ensure technological requirements are properly considered and applied throughout all project phases up to handover.
• Develop skills, know-how, and training plans for relevant technologies.
• Participate in project planning, scheduling, and the finalization of engineering plans, including outsourcing architecture.
• Lead engineering team induction on project requirements.
• Engage in risk management and interfunctional reviews related to engineering.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities and manage external engineering centers or companies involved in the project.
• Ensure interdisciplinary coordination and resolve conflicts between disciplines.
• Make technical decisions to align solutions with project cost and schedule constraints.
• Supervise engineering deliverables and approve multidisciplinary documents.
• Support project management in client and licensor relations concerning engineering issues.
• Oversee design, safety, and 3D model reviews, ensuring follow-up on outcomes.
• Assist in contract management, including variations and change orders.
• Manage engineering hours and budgets, alerting management to deviations and proposing mitigations.
• Ensure proper documentation and project close-out of engineering activities.
• Support procurement processes with engineering inputs.
• Ensure availability of commissioning/start-up plans, operating manuals, and mechanical manuals.
• Identify lessons learned and monitor plant performance for continuous improvement, in coordination with product line functions.

Qualifications:

• Engineering Bachelor's Degree
• English language proficiency at least B2 level
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Technical Manager
• Proficiency in Primavera or similar project scheduling software
