This is a key position that will play a crucial role in the strategic development of Lyreco’s future. Reporting directly to the P&S Marketing Director, you will be responsible for driving Lyreco successfully into the Workplace markets of Office & Tech products.
With responsibility for the category team and in close collaboration with local sales and marketing teams, you will deliver best-in-class marketing activity, category & financial targets & budgets for your category — focused on end-to-end, cost reduction, income generation, stock management & ultimately the operating result of your category. You will ensure this is delivered through your team with excellence, creating a strategic category growth vision that meets sales and profitability targets.
- MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Develop and lead Italian marketing plans to ensure that the product and services portfolio achieves sales and margin targets.
- Coordinate marketing strategies with sales, financial, public relations, and production departments.
- Evaluate and optimize marketing and pricing strategies.
- Utilize qualitative & quantitative data to form a vision for the next years / 6P (Price, Product, Promotion, Procurement, Placement, Partner) Category.
- Lead a cross-functional team through key catalogue ranging milestones as part of our centralised ranging critical path.
- Develop and implement an annual negotiation and rolling “Buy for Less” / tender schedule to deliver cost savings and better buying solutions without compromising quality or service.
- Build and implement an end-to-end ABCD Supplier strategy, ensuring regular performance reviews.
- Define a catalogue range that wins for customers and key verticals, aligning with group guidelines.
- Validate all non-catalogue lines to ensure they align with your category strategy and budget, adding value for Lyreco.
- Work with suppliers to ensure Lyreco gains “first to market” and “exclusive” product ranges for competitive advantage.
- Continuously review and simplify your range, ensuring market-leading breadth and depth while reducing duplication.
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure top-tier inbound service and OTIF levels.
- Regularly review and optimize your supplier base to unlock cost savings and efficiencies.
- Deliver a new sustainability plan for your category.
- Develop a pricing strategy that maintains basket competitiveness, working with suppliers to optimize purchasing.
- Implement a market-leading digital transformation plan for your category to maximize customer engagement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and breaking down barriers.
- Lead and develop your team, promoting a culture of trust and self-development through regular coaching and learning opportunities.
