Employment Type : Part-time (minimum 12 days / month)

Hourly Rate : $60.50 / hour + $10,000 relocation

Position Overview :

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing Inc. is seeking a qualified Occupational and Environmental Health Physician to support the U.S. Naval Hospital Sigonella and its associated installations in Italy. The role will ensure full compliance with Italian Legislative Decree 9 April 2008, n.81, and U.S. Navy regulations for workplace health and safety. Services will be provided to Local National (LN) employees and must adhere to Italian legal requirements for the Prevention and Protection Service (PPS).

Qualifications :
  • Education : The contract provider shall be certified in at least ONE of the following Specialization Prerequisites : Specialization Prerequisites for the "Competent Physician" established by the Italian DECRETO LEGISLATIVO 9 Aprile 2008, n.81, art.38 :
  • Italian Official license to practice medicine and specialized in the field of "Occupational Medicine" with current subscription to the professional order of Italian Competent Physicians.
  • AND Specialization in industrial medicine or preventive medicine for workers and psychotechnics;
  • OR Teaching industrial medicine or preventive medicine for workers and psychotechnics, or industrial toxicology, or industrial hygiene, or industrial physiology and hygiene or industrial clinical medicine.
  • OR Authorization, established by article 55 of the legislative decree of August 15, 1991, no. 277.
  • OR Specialization in preventive hygiene and medicine or in legal medicine.
  • The contract provider shall have at least five years of experience in the same or similar services in Occupational Health Services.
  • Experience : 5+ years of occupational health services
  • Soft Skills : Fluency in both Italian and English, including medical terminology (written and spoken) (Mandatory)
Key Responsibilities :
  • Conduct pre-placement, periodic, and return-to-work medical evaluations per Italian legislation (D.Lgs. 81 / 08).
  • Perform workplace risk assessments and develop surveillance protocols.
  • Provide case management for occupational injuries and illnesses within 24 hours of incident reporting.
  • Deliver training, education, and occupational health guidance to staff.
  • Submit required reports, including injury logs, workplace risk evaluations, and monthly workload statistics.
  • Participate in Medical Quality Improvement Programs and Occupational Safety and Health meetings.
  • Maintain all medical records in compliance with privacy, legal, and Navy standards.
