Job summary

The Nurse Extern at Entity Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) performs routine duties under RN supervision, caring for hospitalized patients and assisting with unit operations. The role may be cross-trained to serve as a Unit Secretary depending on unit needs and workload.

Education: enrolled in an accredited ADN or BSN program with 12 months to NCLEX; AHA BLS certification required. This PRN, hourly position supports patient care across shifts.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited ADN or BSN program.
• Has 12 months to pass NCLEX after graduating.
• AHA BLS Certification is required.

The Nurse Extern may be cross-trained to operate as a Unit Secretary depending on the demands and needs of the unit in which they are assigned. The care is rendered under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs other duties related to the work described herein.

Education: Completion of first semester of an accredited ADN or BSN program. Currently enrolled in an accredited ADN or BSN program.
