Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Italy SpA is seeking a Welding Engineer to ensure welding process quality in Monfalcone, Italy. You will report to the Senior Component Delivery Manager and work onsite, following strict codes and design requirements.

The role requires coordinating welding qualification activities, developing welding procedures, and applying engineering fundamentals to welding processes. English proficiency (C1) is essential, and knowledge of ASME/EN/RCC-M codes is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering required, with focus on Materials or Mechanical Engineering.
• Understanding of ASME, EN, and RCC-M Codes is essential, including ASTM standards governing tests and filler materials.
• Advanced proficiency in English (C1) is required; all rules and projects are conducted in English.

Responsibilities

• Adopt ethical approach on work and nuclear safety culture.
• Organize welding qualification and test activities for procedures, mock-ups and fabrication.
• Detail how welding codes apply to processes and manage multiple activities concurrently.
• Develop prototypes to validate welding solution designs.
• Apply process engineering fundamentals to welding procedures.
• Implement robotics in welding activities.
• Author welding procedures and qualification records, and supervise tests for qualifications.
