As NPI Manufacturing Engineer you will support the industrialization activities of the assigned manufacturing processes area. You will give your contribution for the assigned hardware and you will help developing the manufacturing plan to achieve the required targets in terms of process feasibility and robustness, product quality, product cost and capacity sustainment.
Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Support concurrent engineering activities with design engineers and/or with the customer

  • Define tooling/router design effort between external suppliers and Avio Aero Manufacturing Engineering

  • Collaborate with tooling suppliers during all steps, from the concept to the functional test and related validation

  • Support design and process reviews, monitor the status of industrialization/improvement plan for the assigned P/N

  • Support operating personnel during the production of the first batch

  • Contribute to processes optimization introduction

  • Collaborate with Customer Quality Engineering for the anomaly report submitted to Customer and sustain Customer review of the proposed improvement plan

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Industrial or Management Engineering

  • Good knowledge of the metal cutting technologies and process design

  • Knowledge of technical drawing and specifications

  • Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes and provide efficient solutions

  • Experience in manufacturing engineering (gears focus is a plus)

  • Ability to communicate effectively and contribute to team projects

  • Interface different stakeholders for major issues

  • Fluent Italian and English

  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
