Notice of call for expressions of interest - Scientific and Technical Support - Various Scientific and Communication Profiles
EFSA is seeking individuals with scientific expertise to support assessments in areas such as Animal Health, Biological Hazards, Pesticides, Plant health, GMOs, Food Additives, Contact Materials, Enzymes, Flavourings, Feed additives, Novel Foods, Nutrition, and Social Sciences.
The objective is to establish a list of qualified individuals to assist EFSA with preparatory work, data activities, and risk communication efforts. This call replaces previous calls (EOI/EFSA/NUTRI/2019/01 and EOI/EFSA/SCIENCE/2020/01).
Tasks may include data validation, literature analysis, risk assessment support, peer reviews, and contributions to scientific outputs and communication activities. Specific social science tasks involve designing research, analyzing behaviors, and developing communication materials.
EFSA will compile and maintain a list of experts valid for 5 years, based on eligibility and expertise, with remuneration up to €140,000 over the period. Experts are selected based on skills, experience, and non-discrimination principles. The list is used solely for specific tasks, with no obligation for EFSA to assign work.
Applicants must be citizens of EU, EFTA, or candidate countries, or from third countries if expertise is unavailable locally. Education requirements include university studies of at least three years in relevant fields. Proven professional experience, publication record, and proficiency in English are required. Supporting documents will be requested before contract signing.
Applications are to be submitted online via the EFSA careers page, with acceptance of terms and conditions. The process is open during the validity period of the call, with early applications encouraged.
EFSA complies with Regulation (EU) 2018/1725 concerning personal data processing. Applicants' data will be handled accordingly.
Note: If you are not a passport holder of the country for the vacancy, a work permit may be necessary. For more details, consult our blog. Do not include bank or payment details in your application.
