Notice of call for expressions of interest - Scientific and Technical Support - Various Scientific and Communication Profiles

Introduction: The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), located in Parma, Italy, is seeking expressions of interest for scientific and technical support in various areas including animal health, biological hazards, chemical contaminants, pesticides, plant health, GMOs, food additives, contact materials, enzymes, flavorings, feed additives, novel foods, nutrition, and social sciences.

Objective: To establish a list of individuals with scientific expertise to assist EFSA in preparatory work supporting scientific assessments and risk communication activities.

Fields of Expertise & Tasks: Candidates should specify their expertise using Annex V. Tasks include data validation, literature analysis, risk assessment support, peer review, and contributions to scientific outputs, among others. Social science tasks include designing research, supporting communication strategies, and developing training materials.

Procedural Aspects: The list will be valid for 5 years, based on legal procedures, and used for tasks outlined above. Previous candidates from earlier calls are encouraged to reapply within a transition period. The maximum total remuneration is €140,000 over 5 years.

Selection & Eligibility: Applicants must be from an EU Member State, EFTA, candidate countries, or third countries if expertise is unavailable locally. Exclusion criteria and supporting evidence requirements are detailed, including integrity and legal compliance.
