The New Product Development Technologist Meat will reinforce the Italian Food Ingredients Applications Laboratory Team and contribute to the expansion of commercial sales activities with customers and prospects.

Responsibilities include both product and process development, as well as internal excellence around developed products.

Main responsibilities :

• Drive, distribute, and develop the company's product development function
• Manage product care, including optimization and improvement of the existing product portfolio
• Develop new formulations, test ingredients, and benchmark competitors to meet the innovative requirements of existing and potential customers
• Review existing product formulations and identify opportunities for product enhancement
• Facilitate the creation of specifications, both customized and general
• Perform and evaluate nutritional value calculations, internal & external analyses, sensory control, and sustainability tests
• Coordinate and prioritize projects, ensuring they stay within timing and budget constraints
• Follow market trends and development, driving innovation and concept development
• Market product ideas and development services internally and externally
• Ensure accurate documentation of product parameters for Caldic products
• Collaborate closely with Sales, NPD colleagues, production, and external suppliers/customers

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Technology or a related field
• Good knowledge of ingredients and raw materials (functionality and food risks)
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on product development experience in the food savory industry, specifically meat
• Proficient in Italian and English, both verbal and written
• Pro-active attitude and adaptability in a dynamic environment
• Ability to translate ideas and briefs into practical solutions considering production constraints
• Willingness to learn about market developments and customer opportunities
• Creative, analytical, flexible, initiative-taking, team-oriented, self-starting, and customer-focused
• Eager to grow within a challenging, matrix organization
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for internal and external contacts
