Job Description:

The New Product Development Technologist Meat will reinforce the Italian Food Ingredients Applications Laboratory Team and contribute to the development and expansion of commercial sales activities with customers and prospects.

Responsibilities include both product and process development, as well as internal excellence around developed products.

In this role, you can make a difference and collaborate to deliver outcomes that add real value for both customers and partners.

Main responsibilities:

• Drive, distribute, and develop the company's product development function
• Manage product care, including optimization and improvement of existing product portfolio
• Develop new formulations, test ingredients, and benchmark competitors to meet the innovative requirements of existing and potential customers
• Review existing product formulations and identify opportunities for product improvement
• Facilitate the creation of specifications, both customized and general
• Perform and evaluate nutritional value calculations, internal & external analyses, sensory control, and sustainability tests
• Coordinate and prioritize projects to ensure they stay within timing and budget
• Follow market trends and developments to drive innovation and concept development
• Market product ideas and development services internally and externally
• Ensure that product parameter information is accurately updated in documentation for Caldic products
• Collaborate closely with Sales, NPD colleagues, production, and external suppliers/customers
