Overview:

Would you like to start your professional career in a highly specialized and innovative multinational environment?

For our Tangity Product Development team, we are looking for recent graduates in Electronic Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering for the role of Hardware Test Engineer.

No prior experience is necessary; we seek individuals eager to learn and grow with the team.

Graduates will join the hardware product validation team, testing new products in high-end routing and optical market segments.

The key role of the Hardware Test Engineer is to work in a global environment to validate and bring to production complex electronic boards with high-speed signals and complex ASIC and optical components.

The Hardware Test Engineer will interact with cross-functional teams including hardware design, software design, manufacturing, and product engineering to develop high-quality products.

This role is crucial in ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of hardware products throughout the development cycle.

This is a great opportunity to work with an experienced team that has significant influence on product development and performance in a network technology provider.

Responsibilities:
  • Validate compliance with internal specifications and industry standards; test performance of optical hardware devices such as muxponders, amplifiers, plug-in components used in high-capacity DWDM systems.
  • Define testing processes and procedures; develop comprehensive test plans at unit and system levels for individual units and/or entire product lines.
  • Implement unit and system level tests; debug, isolate, analyze complex issues; facilitate root cause analysis, resolution, and closure.
  • Perform tests to identify defects and malfunctions in the system.
  • Analyze test results to identify issues and root causes.
  • Support hardware/software design engineers; provide feedback on complex problems.
  • Document test results, defects, and corrections clearly and concisely.
  • Report testing progress and results to stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering.
  • Fundamental knowledge of optical engineering at an academic level.
  • Knowledge or experience with Bash, Python, or other scripting/automation tools.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and troubleshooting attitude.
  • Effective communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
Nice to have:
  • Knowledge of hardware design and implementation processes.
  • Knowledge of hardware verification and debugging methodologies and tools.
  • Experience in optical or electronic test design and verification.
