SUMMARY:
Responsible for organizing, modifying, installing, and supporting a company’s computer systems and maintain Local Network Area infrastructure.

Regular attendance is an essential function of the job. PIC cannot accommodate unpredictable or sporadic absenteeism, unless covered by federal/state law.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Install and support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems.
2. Install and maintain network hardware and software.
3. Analyze and isolate issues.
4. Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users.
5. Evaluate and modify system’s performance.
6. Identify user needs.
7. Determine network and system requirements.
8. Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security.
9. Ensure network connectivity throughout a company’s LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations.
10. Perform network address assignment.
11. Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services.
12. Configure and Assign users Exchange Server account
13. Maintain network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers.
14. Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches.
15. Manage and Maintain nightly backup of company data
16. Analyze management needs regarding use of integrated data processing equipment or operations and processes.
17. Investigate, plan, implement, test, and debug operating system software.
18. Design and implement integrated hardware and software computer and information systems to meet organizational requirements.
19. Prepare on-line and hard copy documentation of systems and user applications.
20. Provide instruction and training to users and other employees on day-to-day procedures.
21. Participate in budget planning, implementation, and monitoring for purchase and maintenance of hardware and software.
22. Record and maintain hardware and software inventories, site and/or server licensing, and user access and security.
23. Maintain currency of knowledge with respect to relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems.
24. Perform problem resolution and provides on-call support for computer/network systems.
25. Experience working in structured data cabling and physical network design. Able to pull network cabling and terminate at patch panel and Cat6 cabling meeting industrial standards.
26. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instruction exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School certificate. College certificate related to IT concepts. IT Support and Network Management 1-2 years of experience preferred. Related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in IT.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications – Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher and proficiency in any other applications that may be used in the daily operations of the IT Department.
