Job summary

Thales in Gorgonzola, Italy is offering an end-of-study internship within the Navigations Air Systems domain. You will join a scrum team and contribute to software development, testing and integration while building hands-on experience with C, C++, Python and Linux.

You will start by increasing your system skills and participating in development tasks, then gradually contribute to architecture design and new building blocks as your proactivity grows.

Qualifications

• Technical high school graduate (electronic, information technology) OR ITS (Software Development/Networking).
• Knowledge and passion for hands on laboratory activities, server administration, machine configuration and network setup.
• Basic knowledge in programming languages (C, C++, Python).
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
• Experience with networking infrastructure, equipment and configuration is beneficial.
• Ability to communicate in English, spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Be integrated into a scrum agile development team to support daily activity as Software Engineer intern.
• Participate in development, testing and integration activities to increase system skills.
• Contribute to requirement definition, design architecture and new software building blocks as you progress.
• Assist in project estimation and planning phases and collaborate on defining new solutions.
• Receive mentorship from experienced peers who will support onboarding and career development.
