Your day at NTT DATA

You will be part of a competent and collaborative NTT team contributing to a strategic IT project for a major customer. Based in Milan, the NTT team collaborates with the customer’s IT team locally and internationally, focusing on Network and Network Security infrastructure. Your work will involve technologies like Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, F5, Vmware Velocloud, and Riverbed. This role offers the opportunity to work with a leader in Network Managed Services and a multinational company in the eyewear and eye care industry, allowing you to evolve your skills and competencies.

What you'll be doing

As a Network Engineer L1, you will act as a Technical Engineer capable of delivering simple projects and resolving non-complex infrastructure issues. Your main responsibilities include:

1. Staging and infrastructure setup;
2. Physical installations and configurations;
3. Functional testing and hands-on support to the implementation team;
4. Supporting Network Operations in incident resolution, change, and request management;
5. Assisting in maintenance and change management activities.

Requirements

• Educational background in IT;
• At least 1.5 years of experience as a Network Engineer in a multinational environment;
• Cisco Certifications (CCNA); additional vendor certifications (Check Point, Palo Alto, Fortinet, F5, VMware) are a plus;
• Good organizational and communication skills;
• Ability to work in virtual and hybrid teams;
• Customer-oriented mindset;
• Proficiency in Italian and English (French is a plus);
• Willingness to travel abroad when required;
• Availability for on-duty scheduling.
