Job summary

QCS Staffing Ltd in Rome is seeking a Network Administrator to support an international IT service provider on a 6-month contract in Rome. The role focuses on configuring and supporting Cisco infrastructure, Meraki, F5, and VPN sites, with potential extensions.

The candidate will work on TCP/IP networking, routing protocols, and cloud networking in AWS or similar, documenting configurations and maintaining templates. The position is on-site in Rome with long-term project potential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Cisco switching and routing.
• Experience with F5 load balancers.
• Solid TCP/IP networking knowledge and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
• Experience in cloud networking (AWS or similar).

Responsibilities

• Configure and support Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switches and routers.
• Configure, support, and administer Cisco Firepower and F5 BIG-IP AFM.
• Configure, support F5 load balancers and Meraki solutions.
• Establish VPN Site-to-Site tunnels using IPsec.
• Maintain technical documentation and configuration templates.

Network Administrator - Rome, Italy - Initial 6-Month Contract - Data Centres Our client, an international IT service provider, is seeking a Network Administrator to support them on their current project in Rome. Starting at an initial 6 month contract, multiple extensions are expected and there is great, long-term potential.

What you'll deliver:

• Configure and support Cisco network infrastructure, including Nexus and Catalyst switches and routers.
• Configure, support, and administer firewalls, including Cisco Firepower and F5 BIG-IP AFM module
• Configure, support, and administer F5 load balancers
• Configure, support, and administer Cisco Meraki solutions (including switching, wireless, and security)
• Configure, support and administer VPN Site-to-Site tunnels based on IPSEC technologies
• Maintain and update technical documentation and configuration templates

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco technologies, including switching and routing, and Cisco Meraki solutions
• Proven experience working with F5 load balancers
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking and protocols
• Experience with routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP
• Good understanding of networking in cloud environments (AWS or similar)
