A leading aerospace company based in Rome is seeking a Navigation System IVV Engineer. This role involves supporting integration and verification activities for navigation programs, defining validation plans, and conducting test executions. Candidates should be fluent in English and have experience in software development and networking. A collaborative approach and the ability to work with international teams are essential.
Navigation System IVV Engineer role at Thales Alenia Space. The work will be based in Rome, with occasional travel for on-site testing or customer meetings. You will collaborate with the TASI System Navigation team and may explore opportunities for temporary relocations outside Italy.
Task description: The following activities will be nominally part of your daily work.
Language: fluent English, spoken and written.
Personal requirements: The ideal candidate has a strong inclination towards teamwork and is at ease mediating even between different requests. Open minded to different cultures in working, with a collaborative approach to finding shared solutions.
Experience & Skills: Experience in SW development (C, C++, Linux/Unix, Bash, Python) and knowledge of networking aspects (LAN, WAN structures, IP/Uni-Multi UDP/TCP/FTP/SFTP, Security architectures, FWs, Switches, Routing rules, VPNs). Background in telecommunications, with focus on satellite navigation systems, is a plus. Eligibility to personal clearance is required.
