Responsibilities

Reporting to the Project General Manager, the main purpose of this role is to collaborate with the operations team and the Branch Manager to:

  • Gain and develop new customers
  • Follow up on existing accounts
  • Prepare company presentations

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will also be responsible for:

  • Sales support:
  • Responding to requests for quotations from network and Italian clients
  • Responding to tenders from overseas Bolloré branches related to industry (technical and commercial aspects)
  • Responding to tenders from European customers
  • Marketing:
  • Developing marketing tools with the Marketing department (online offers, brochures, etc.)
  • Attending industry events (trade shows, meetings, etc.)
  • Reporting:
  • Using CONCERTO for internal reporting on the portfolio
  • Preparing monthly activity reports
Applicant Profile
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in international freight forwarding, with operational expertise in air and sea freight
  • Strong sales skills
  • Willingness to travel within Italy and Europe
  • Excellent knowledge of the industrial project industry and personal contacts
  • Fluent in English and Italian, both written and spoken
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Resilient under pressure and stress-resistant
  • Proactive, positive, and capable of working independently

  • Salary: €60,000 - €70,000 per year
