Job Description :

Spin Master is a leading global children's entertainment company, creating exceptional play experiences through its three creative centres: Toys, Entertainment, and Digital Games. With distribution in over 100 countries, Spin Master is best known for award-winning brands such as PAW Patrol, Bakugan, Kinetic Sand, Air Hogs, Hatchimals, Rubik’s Cube, and GUND, and is the global toy licensee for other popular properties.

What will you work on?

The National Account Manager is the lead point of contact for all matters specific to their customers. They are responsible for building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships, overseeing customer account management, including negotiating contracts and agreements to maximize profit.

How will you create impact?

  • Develop annual business plans that align with company goals and meet customer needs.
  • Deliver product presentations, business proposals, and ad plans to customers on schedule.
  • Understand customer timelines and proactively provide all necessary information and materials for decision-making and effective business management.
  • Collaborate with support teams to develop and update forecasts reflecting market realities, at least monthly.
  • Manage operating expenses against budgets.
  • Review actual performance regularly to ensure goals are met and adjust plans as needed.
  • Manage customer-specific budgets and update Salesforce accordingly.
  • Analyze sell-through data and market intelligence to maximize opportunities and minimize risks.
  • Communicate clearly and efficiently with customers, providing quick solutions to challenges.
  • Work proactively with team members to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to account management team members.
  • Quickly understand all account business objectives and marketing plans through multi-level and cross-functional contacts within your account portfolio.
  • Develop innovative sales and marketing strategies to maximize performance within each account.
  • Coordinate trade marketing and marketing activities to meet volume, distribution, and profit targets.
  • Maximize account profitability through strategic planning, promotional work, and data analysis.
  • Negotiate with senior-level contacts to secure long-term supply agreements and optimize marketing mix elements.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and coordinate with the planning team for timely stock delivery.
  • Maintain flexibility regarding accounts managed.
  • Actively contribute to a solution-oriented team culture by leading by example.
  • Strengthen and develop the commercial and personal relationships with your account base, maintaining Spin Master’s position as a preferred supplier.

How will you fit into the team?

The National Account Manager reports to the Sales Director.

What are your skills and experience?

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role in the CPG or toy industry preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Proven success managing a business portfolio with a national retailer, preferably in toys.
  • Retail experience at store level or in retail planning is an asset.
  • Customer-driven approach with a proactive attitude.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships internally and externally.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Salesforce experience is an asset.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.
  • Goal-oriented with self-motivation, persistence, and determination.
  • Ability to create and maintain business presentations, Excel files, and interpret POS reports.
  • Financial and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel and hold a full, clean driving license.
