Job summary

Jupiter Medical Center, a leading hospital in Palm Beach County, seeks a skilled Medical Assistant to support physicians, ARNPs and the clinical care team in both administrative and patient-care tasks.

Ideal candidates hold an accredited MA program credential or substantial medical office experience, with BLS certification preferred. The role involves direct patient interaction, exam room prep, and coordination of imaging and testing. EMR experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• Medical Assistance Certification preferred.
• Knowledge of the outpatient practice of medicine.
• Must have experience in medical assisting.
• Knowledge of medical practice, patient care skills, examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures.
• Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
• Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
• Must possess computer skills and customer service skills.
• Capable of making sound decisions.
• Detail oriented and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• The Medical Assistant supports the physician, ARNP and clinical care team in patient care management, executes administrative and clinical procedures and performs supervisory functions as needed.
• Assist providers and RNs with patient care management and documentation.
• Prepare patients for visits, greet and escort, and assist during examinations and telehealth visits.
• Schedule imaging/tests and coordinate with patients; educate patients on procedures and PET diet information where applicable.
• Maintain exam rooms, inventory supplies, and ensure safe and clean clinical environments.
• Complete records, insurance forms, and communications with other offices as required.
• Assist with transportation of patients for diagnostics and simulations as needed.
• Support RNs and providers in all clinical duties and multidisciplinary conferences.
