Le Consortium européen de l'observatoire gravitationnel EGO recherche un Collaboratore Tecnico pour une administration système au sein de son équipe à Cascina. Le poste implique la gestion des services Windows dans un environnement Active Directory, incluant la configuration de clients VDI dans Citrix et le support aux utilisateurs. Le candidat idéal sera titulaire d'un diplôme technique et aura une expérience pratique en administration de systèmes. Missions

The European Gravitational Observatory (EGO) is looking for an experienced System Administrator to assume the responsibility of the MS-Windows cluster at Cascina.

Activities

The selected candidate will take in charge the configuration and development of the MS-Windows services at EGO which support the office applications and the personal productivity tools and also the general authentication for the non-windows scientific applications.

He/She will participate in the management of the MS-Windows VDI clients in the Citrix Virtual Xenapp&Desktop environment, in the management of the Audio/video conferencing systems on-site and in the management of the related hardware.

He/She will participate in supporting users in the applicable areas.

Essential skills

• High school diploma in technical or scientific fields;
• hands-on experience in system administration of MS-Windows servers in a clustered Active Directory Domain environment;
• Knowlegde of English

Other desired skills

One or more of the following will be an asset:

• Bachelor’s degree in technical or scientific fields;
• experience in Citrix environment (Virtual XenApp&Desktop, XenServer);
• experience in MS-HyperV virtualization;
• experience in Audio/video facilities for local and remote meetings;
• experience in wireless networking configuration and support;
• experience in MS-PowerShell scripting;
• experience in software development (Microsoft .NET, Python, …) in MS-Windows environment;
• experience in Office 365 centralized management and migration to cloud at an entrerprise level;

Work Context

EGO is an international consortium, founded by INFN and CNRS to foster European collaboration in gravitational-wave research. EGO is located in Cascina, near Pisa – Italy, and hosts and operates the gravitational-wave detector Virgo, a 3 km-long laser interferometer (ITF). The Virgo project involves the participation of about 130 institutions with more than 800 scientists, engineers and technicians from France, Italy, the Netherlands and other 13 European countries.

Selection procedure

Only candidates who meet the above essential required qualifications and experience are admitted to the selection procedure. The evaluation of the candidates admitted to the procedure is assigned to a Selection Board appointed by the Director of EGO. The Selection Board will determine the evaluation criteria in the first meeting. The first phase of the selection will be based on a review of the Application Forms and other documents received in line with the above-mentioned essential and desired requirements. Only candidates who have obtained the minimum score established by the Selection Board in the first meeting will be able to access to the second phase of the selection, which will consist of an interview. During the interview the Selection Board will verify the knowledge of the English language, and the other desired qualifications and experience.

At the end of the interviews the Selection Board will draw up a ranking of the candidates who obtained at least the minimum score established during the first meeting.

The completion of the hiring is subject to Italian law D.Lgs. 81/08 art.41 “Sorveglianza Sanitaria”.
