Job summary

Marelli is seeking a Hardware Electronics Senior Engineer for the Motorsport R&D Hardware Electronic - Mid Range team, based in Venaria Reale, Turin, Italy. You will support development of Motorsport ECU and HW electronics applications, reporting to the Hardware Electronics Mid Range Manager.

The role combines design, simulation, validation and documentation duties within a fast-paced motorsport environment. A hybrid work model is offered, with days in the office and remote work components.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electric/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of automotive electronic units and circuit design.
• Experience with electrical systems testing and automotive validation.
• Fluent in English and Italian.

Responsibilities

• Guarantee design activities for ECU/VCU, dashboards and auxiliary modules.
• Design the electronics schematics and BoM for the apparatus.
• Define HW/SW interface with Software Department.
• Perform electrical simulations of circuits.
• Debug and validate the unit and define testing flows.
• Release and update product documentation.
• Support Motorsport production (SOP and issue resolution).

About the Position

We are looking for a Hardware Electronics Senior Engineer to join the Motorsport R&D Hardware Electronic - Mid Range team, reporting directly to the Hardware Electronics Mid Range Manager.

This position is based at our office in Venaria Reale, Torino, Italy.

As the Hardware Electronics Senior Engineer at Marelli, you will be support support the development of Motorsport ECU and HW electronics applications.

Your Responsibilities will be

• Guarantee design activities of ECU (Electronic Control Unit), VCU (Vehicle Control Unit), Dashboards, Auxiliary modules


• Design of the complete electronic of the apparatus (schematics of electronics boards, BoM)


• Define the HW/SW interface working in collaboration with Software Department


• Perform Electrical simulations of the electronic circuits


• Debug and validation of the unit


• Testing flow definition


• Release and update the documentation of the product


• Support activity of the Motorsport production (SOP and issues)

What Qualifications you will bring

• Degree in Electric/Electronic Engineering or equivalent


• Education/Knowledge oriented to Automotive Electronic Units and its main circuit design


• Good knowledge of electrical system/equipment and testing Automotive Validation


• Very good knowledge of English and Italian


• 3-7 years’ experience in similar role. Automotive (preferred), traction or industrial.


• Knowledge of standard eCAD for electrical design. Use of Mentor XDesigner schematic entry


• Good knowledge of Spice and TeamCenter


• Ability to use lab standard instrumentation (Oscilloscope, multimeter, Signal Generator, Logic State Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzer, etc.) for debug activity


• Knowledge of EMC problems, signal integrity, and guidance rules
