All about the role:

The Motor Control Engineer must collect all requirements coming from other company departments to support the planning and the implementation of the Motor Control functionality, supervising critical phases of the projects and respecting the timing.

What you’ll do:

She/he will be part of an open-minded team, where creativity and innovation are the key drivers. An international work environment allows, moreover, working closely with colleagues and/or partners from all over the world, understanding different realities, cultures and people.

In detail, you will:

  1. Define the requirements for the development of variable speed motor control algorithms, and verify them in application (Washing Machine, Tumble Dryer and Dish Washer).
  2. Integrate and tune the motor control algorithm inside the application.
  3. Develop and maintain the SW modules part of the Motor Control area (communication, Safety Relevant, interfaces with other application algorithms).
  4. Develop and maintain documentation related to Safety SW and boards’ Functional Verification Test.
  5. Support motors’ analysis and testing, tune of control parameters for required application.
  6. Prepare HW technical requirements and verify them inside the application, ensuring their compliance with internal guidelines, standards, technology trends.
  7. Support the characterization and testing of Motor Control Boards and its components.
Who you are:
  1. Master’s Degree in Electrics / Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience.
  2. At least 3 years of experience on electrical/electronic development, preferred on motor control or power electronics / industrial inverters control.
  3. Knowledge of micro-controller architectures and C/C++ language.
  4. Basic knowledge of Python.
  5. Knowledge of power electronics.
  6. Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink and its applicability on embedded systems.
  7. Knowledge of motor control algorithms and familiarity with electric motors’ technology, parametrization and modelling.
  8. Good spoken and written English language.
Where you’ll be:

You will be based in Porcia, located in the metropolitan area of Pordenone (Northeast Italy), where the main Electrolux R&D centre is located. Here, in a dynamic environment, we develop and test domestic appliances such as Dishwashers, Washing Machines, Washer Dryers and Tumble Dryers.
