Job summary

Moncler Group is seeking a Senior Fabric Research Developer for our Fabrics R&D team at the Global HQ in Milan. Lead research, sourcing, and development of innovative fabrics, embroideries, and trims to translate creative vision into high-quality materials within collection timelines.

You will partner with Design, drive fabric sourcing, and oversee mood boards and core fabric lines while ensuring brand aesthetics and technical requirements across development stages.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in a similar role within fashion or textile industries.
• Experience collaborating with international design teams in HQ environments.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Extensive knowledge of global fabric mills and sourcing practices.
• Creative research abilities with keen eye for trends, materials and innovation.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Fluency in English (C2), additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

Overview

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Fabric Research Developer to join our Fabrics R&D team, based in our Global HQ in Milan, Italy. As a Senior Fabric Research Developer, you will lead the research, sourcing, and development of innovative fabrics, embroideries and trims, translating the creative vision into high-quality materials in line with collection timelines.

Your Impact

Creative & Seasonal Development

• Partner with the Design team to identify , propose, and develop the most suitable fabrics, trims, and embroideries, providing both creative and technical expertise ;
• Drive the sourcing of fabrics, embroideries, and components, ensuring alignment with seasonal objectives , brand identity, and product requirements;
• Lead the creation and evolution of seasonal color and fabric mood boards to support collection development and material direction;
• Oversee the maintenance and evolution of core fabric lines, proactively identifying opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.

Cross-functional Collaboration & Process Management

• Coordinate closely with Production Development teams to align fabric development with the seasonal calendar and ensure timely delivery;
• Drive cross-functional collaboration to enhance efficiency and effectiveness throughout the fabric development process ;
• Ensure consistency with brand aesthetics, collection vision, and technical requirements throughout all development stages;
• Oversee cost, quality, and performance evaluations to support both business objectives and creative excellence.
