Position

Analysis of the constructability of new plants and infrastructures, with particular attention to modular construction strategies for mechanical modules, pipe rack and modular skids (integrating systems and components), with the aim of optimizing site activities for new plants in order to reduce construction time and associated costs.

Main responsibilities:

  • Design, development, and optimization of modular systems that integrate mechanical and piping components for nuclear power plants;
  • Incorporate modular construction concepts into plant integration for nuclear Installations;
  • Definition of inter-operability and constructability requirements for each discipline;
  • Monitoring of innovative modular construction techniques and associated codes and standards applicable in the nuclear field;
  • Integration of constructability and construction in the early stages of design;
  • Construction planning and optimization, through the use of innovative modular Technologies;
  • Integration of digital techniques in order to optimize engineering, construction and commissioning phases;
  • Interaction with suppliers of mechanical modules, pipe rack, modular skid, metal structures in order to integrate requirements in the early stages of design.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical, Nuclear or similar;
  • 5 years of experience in similar roles, including at least 2 years in the construction industry.

Core skills:

  • Design or modular systems, mechanical and piping modules;
  • System engineering and plant integration of complex systems;
  • Digital tools for 3D modeling and BIM integration;
  • Workshop fabrication lines, assembly and FAT;
  • Management of the interfaces between systems/components and civil works;
  • Planning tools;
  • Construction site experience and SAT.

Fundamental knowledge:

  • Welding and non-destructive examination processes;
  • Nuclear codes for reinforced concrete and steel structures (e.g., ACI-349 and ANSI/AISC N690, Eurocode);
  • Nuclear codes for mechanical components and piping.

Additional skills:

  • Spirit of initiative, curiosity and passion for technology and innovation;
  • Good critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills;
  • Fluent command of written and spoken English;
  • Availability for frequent travel, even at short notice.
