Job summary

The American Red Cross seeks a Service to the Armed Forces (SAF) Specialist, Mobile, at Sigonella, Italy. This role entails deploying overseas for 6 months, managing SAF/IS programs, and coordinating with installation partners to deliver critical services to military members and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Strong computer, public speaking, and written communication skills are required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in an individual or team environment.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities; familiarity with military culture, regulations and protocol.

Responsibilities

• Build strong and sustained relationships with military leadership, command staff, and installation partners; conduct outreach through briefings, sessions, presentations, and engagements.
• Recruit and mentor leadership volunteers to support SAF/IS, Disaster Cycle Services, Training Services, and Blood Services.
• Ensure consistent and high-quality delivery of Red Cross programs to service members, veterans, and their families; supervise volunteer service delivery teams.
• Serve as deployable member of SAF Mobile Team for 6-month overseas assignments; support operations across regions and live on military installations.
• Monitor service delivery outcomes; document and report program activities; collaborate with leadership on deployment feedback and onboarding support.
• Facilitate emergency communications casework and coordinate follow-up services with clients.
