Description
Are you excited about building scalable, reliable, and secure systems? At TrueLayer, we're looking for a Mobile Engineer to have an integral part in shaping the future of our platform. You'll engage with technologies to build intelligent financial infrastructure that puts fintech at people's fingertips.
This is more than just coding - it's an opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, learn from and help peers, and contribute engineering best practices. You'll be at the forefront of designing and implementing solutions that promote innovation while ensuring our platform remains robust and efficient.

What we expect from you, as a Mobile Engineer

1. Design, build and maintain iOS tooling (SDKs/Libraries) so our clients can provide an exceptional user experience.
2. Collaborate closely with product managers, designers and customer support to make sure what we're building meets the needs of our clients.
3. Lead brainstorming for technical solutions and clearly articulate tradeoffs backed with data.
4. Help us grow our mobile team and define our best practices for mobile development.
5. Lead code reviews and provide guidance to junior engineers to maximise their potential and growth.
6. Contribute to our culture, and help make sure TrueLayer remains an exceptional place to work.

About you:

1. Experience developing mobile apps in Swift or Objective C.
2. An understanding of mobile user interface best practices and the impact it has on customers' interactions with products.
3. Communicate effectively - you can speak in appropriate technical depth, back up your assertions with data, and you love proposing actionable solutions.
4. Are thoroughly passionate about the products you build, and driven by empathy for the customer - you wouldn't ship something that you wouldn't use yourself.
5. Experience writing automated tests for mobile platforms.
6. Practiced at setting up mobile development build and release tooling (CI/CD).
7. A keen interest in the latest mobile development trends.
8. Enjoy being part of a small team and are actively thinking of ways to enhance our processes, our internal tools, and the way we work.

We would be particularly excited if you have:

1. Experience building native mobile SDKs.
2. Understanding of OAuth2 and OIDC.
3. Experience working on payments products.

38,000-60,000/yr + equity.

About our hiring process
Our hiring process typically consists of four stages:

1. A call with one of our Talent Acquisition Partners.
2. A take-home exercise.
3. 2-hour video interview with two TrueLayer engineers.
4. 1-hour total final round video interviews.
