March Networks is seeking an experienced Android software engineer to join our mobile team in Italy (Monza). You will design, implement, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern architecture patterns to deliver high-quality solutions for our customers.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of Android development experience, strong knowledge of MVVM, REST APIs, and a solid testing mindset.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS or Engineering.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience with Android SDK.
• Strong experience developing native Android apps in Kotlin.
• Proficiency with Jetpack Compose and modern Android practices.
• Knowledge of OOP, MVVM, Clean Architecture.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, persistence, secure storage.
• Experience with UI testing and unit testing.
• Experience with Agile/SCRUM.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git.
• Fluent English.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering (Computer Science);
• 3+ years of experience as a software engineer with most of that experience developing with Android SDK;
• Strong experience developing native Android applications in Kotlin;
• Proficiency with Jetpack Compose and modern Android development practices;
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, MVVM, Clean Architecture, or similar architectural patterns;
• Good understanding of Kotlin coroutines, Flow, state management, multithreading, and asynchronous programming;
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON serialization, local persistence, and secure storage;
• Experience developing responsive applications for multiple device sizes and orientations;
• Strong understanding of Android memory management and application performance optimization;
• Proficiency with Gradle, Kotlin DSL, dependency management, and modular project structures;
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code;
• Knowledge of the Android application lifecycle, Google Play release processes, and Google Play developer content policies;
• Experience in building multi-threaded applications on mobile platforms;
• Experience and deep understanding of memory management on mobile platforms;
• Ability to evaluate performance issues and perform necessary optimizations;
• Experience with unit testing, UI testing, debugging, and relevant testing frameworks;
• Experience with Agile software development frameworks (SCRUM);
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and solid knowledge of Software Version Control Systems, like Git, and the related best practices;
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented work ethic with a willingness to challenge assumptions and contribute to technical decisions;
• Fluent English.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform and shared business logic modules;
• Experience integrating shared Kotlin Multiplatform code with native Android UI;
• Understanding of Kotlin/Swift interoperability and collaboration with iOS developers;
• Experience with native C++/NDK integration;
• Having published one or more apps in the App Store is a plus;
• Experience using AI-assisted tools to accelerate implementation, code review and testing while validating generated code for quality, security and compliance;
• Experience with Java and React Native framework.
