We are seeking an experienced Architect or Architectural Technologist with a deep understanding of millwork and stone manufacturing, especially within the Italian context. This position focuses on managing, reviewing, and updating shop drawings to match both client expectations and Davani Group's internal standards.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Architect or Architectural Technologist with a deep understanding of millwork and stone manufacturing, especially within the Italian context. This position focuses on managing, reviewing, and updating shop drawings to match both client expectations and Davani Group's internal standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and edit millwork and stone shop drawings submitted by Italian manufacturers and vendors
• Ensure all drawings meet Davani Group standards, client specifications, and U.S. site realities
• Coordinate with project managers, suppliers, and clients to resolve discrepancies and missing information
• Maintain and update the Drawing Change Log, clearly documenting all revisions
• Act as a drawing gatekeeper before submission to the client or design team
• Ensure that all technical drawings align with site conditions, design intent, and relevant codes
• Maintain a professional, trust-based relationship with clients through clear, respectful communication
• Collaborate closely with the operations and design teams across time zones
• Participate in occasional calls with U.S. architects, designers, and GCs to clarify technical items

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years experience in architectural detailing or shop drawings for luxury millwork and/or stone
• Strong familiarity with Italian manufacturing standards and methods
• Proficient in AutoCAD, and ideally in Revit and PDF markup tools (e.g., Bluebeam)
• Experience working with high-end U.S. residential projects (luxury or custom homes)
• Ability to read and interpret complex architectural and interior design documents
• Meticulous attention to detail and passion for craftsmanship
• Proven ability to track revisions and manage drawing documentation systematically
• Excellent written and spoken English is a must
• Strong cross-cultural communication skills and professionalism
• Organized, proactive, and capable of working autonomously in a remote environment

Required Qualifications

• Architecture or Engineering Degree (Bachelor’s or higher)
• Experience working with luxury architectural firms or design-build teams
• Understanding of U.S. site coordination (e.g., waterproofing, MEP conflicts, tolerances)
