Job description:

The role of a Machine Operator at Midsummer is broad and varied. Your main responsibility is to ensure that production machinery output meets the production goals within set quality standards. You will be the first responder to machine breakdowns and problems occurring within production.

The daily work involves handling automated and semi-automated machines to produce the outer layer on solar cells, including tasks such as soldering of solar cells, which requires high precision. After initial training on all machines, you will also be responsible for scheduling and performing maintenance and servicing of machinery, overseeing installation of machinery and equipment, and eventually training team members on correct operation procedures. It is important to take responsibility and work independently after initial training.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience as a machine operator in a fast-paced environment
• High school diploma; a post ITS (Istituto tecnico superiore) diploma is a plus
• Experience with machine maintenance
• Understanding manufacturing processes and interdependencies
• Understanding engineering and technical information
• Strong problem-solving skills and a logical approach
• Minimum B2 level of English
