Kirey is hiring an AI Engineer to work on Generative AI projects, agents and data platforms across Italy. The role involves building agentic AI on AWS Bedrock or Databricks Mosaic AI, plus data pipelines and interactive applications.

We seek 2–5 years of experience, strong Python/SQL skills, and fluency in English with Italian language proficiency. Hybrid work options in Florence, Rome, Milan, Turin are available.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of AI/data engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with agentic AI on AWS Bedrock and/or Databricks Mosaic AI.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Good English; Italian required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Generative AI solutions, including LLM-based agents and RAG pipelines, on AWS and/or Databricks.
• Write and evaluate prompts for accuracy and cost across models and use cases.
• Model data and build ingestion pipelines on AWS and/or Databricks.
• Write clean Python code and participate in testing and QA of AI components.
• Monitor AI solutions for accuracy, performance and reliability.
• Build dashboards, data visualizations and apps to present insights.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, consultants and client teams.
• Stay updated with AI developments and share ideas with the team.

YOUR ROLE

Join our AI & Innovation Business Unit as Mid/Sr AI Engineer. You will work on real client projects involving Generative AI, Agent solutions and data platforms, building intelligent agents on AWS (Bedrock, AgentCore) or Databricks (Mosaic AI), together with the data pipelines that power them. Locations: Florence, Rome, Milan, Turin — hybrid working model.

We are looking for a motivated AI Engineer with 2 to 5 years of experience to join our team. You will work hands-on with senior engineers on client projects, combining agentic AI development with solid data engineering fundamentals. You will contribute to AI agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, automated data analysis and interactive applications, in a collaborative, innovation-oriented environment.

AWS track

• Agentic solutions built with LangGraph on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore architecture
• AgentCore Gateway (AWS-managed) to expose tools and APIs to agents
• Amazon Bedrock (foundation models, Agents, Knowledge Bases)
• Python SDK (Bedrock AgentCore SDK)
• Relational databases (PostgreSQL) and/or vector databases for RAG
• Data pipelines on AWS (Glue, Lambda, S3)

Databricks track

• Mosaic AI Agent Framework and Agent Bricks for building, evaluating and deploying agents
• Mosaic AI Vector Search and Model Serving for RAG and LLM endpoints
• Unity Catalog for governance, lineage and access control
• Databricks Apps to deliver agentic applications to business users
• MLflow for tracing, evaluation and monitoring of AI solutions

WHAT WE OFFER

The proposed salary includes a gross annual salary (RAL) ranging between €32,000 and €45,000, depending on skills and experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics or a related field.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in AI/data engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience with agentic AI on AWS (Bedrock, AgentCore) and/or Databricks (Mosaic AI, Genie).
• Practical experience in prompt engineering: design, iterative refinement and evaluation of LLM-based applications.
• Experience in data modeling and building ingestion pipelines on AWS and/or Databricks.
• Good programming skills in Python and SQL; familiarity with PostgreSQL or vector databases.
• Solid understanding of machine learning concepts and Large Language Models.
• Curiosity, willingness to learn and a proactive attitude.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
• Good command of English, written and spoken; Italian is required.
