About the Role

As a Microwave and Millimeter Wave Engineer at SIAE MICROELETTRONICA, you will be responsible for designing and developing ODU subsystems and radio subunits for split-mount point-to-point and all-outdoor radio systems, operating at frequencies up to 80 GHz. You will collaborate closely with the team manager and other multidisciplinary experts in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of ODU subsystems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and international standards.
• Collaborate with the team manager and other departments to collect and analyze technical and commercial requirements.
• Support the creation of ODU system-level requirements and participate in architecture design and mechanical arrangements.
• Work on the specification, design, and validation of microwave circuits and components, ensuring compliance with technical requirements and standards.
• Test, validate, and troubleshoot prototypes during the development phase.
• Contribute to internal validation processes and support new product introduction.
• Maintain and improve documentation for design, testing, and validation processes.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in active microwave design, particularly in the Telecom sector.
• Solid knowledge of ODU architecture for point-to-point radio configurations (e.g., 1+0, 1+1, 2+0, N+0).
• Experience working with radio systems operating up to 80 GHz.
• Familiarity with international standards such as ITU, ETSI, and ANSI, and regulations for EMC and safety compliance.
• Proficiency in English.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with microwave circuits used in cellular mobile telecom systems.
• Familiarity with MMIC design and testing.
