NTT DATA Romania is seeking a MES/SCADA Engineer to join our global team, driving Industry 4.0 projects across manufacturing sites. You will implement and enhance MES/SCADA solutions, integrate with PLCs and databases, and collaborate with specialists across regions.

You bring a degree in computer science or engineering, know C# or similar languages, SQL, and a good grasp of MES/SCADA concepts. Willingness to travel up to 20% and strong English communication are required.

We are looking for a MES/SCADA Engineer to join our global team, where you will learn and work with Industry 4.0 technologies, collaborate with colleagues from different functions and regions, and gain exposure to diverse cultures and innovative manufacturing solutions.

What You'll Be Doing

• Support the successful implementation of new MES/SCADA systems across production lines within manufacturing plants.
• Provide modification and enhancement services for existing MES/SCADA solutions.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues and operational challenges.
• Collaborate closely with team members to ensure project and small-order deliverables are completed within the agreed scope, timeline, and budget.
• Create, maintain, and continuously update knowledge base documentation.
• Develop knowledge and expertise in platforms related to Industry 4.0 and manufacturing innovation.

What You'll Bring Along

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Automation Engineering, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming principles, with hands-on experience in languages such as C#, Java, or similar. Experience with C# is considered a strong advantage.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases, including the ability to query, analyze, and manipulate manufacturing-related data.
• Good understanding of MES, SCADA, or industrial automation concepts. Exposure to manufacturing environments is considered an advantage.
• Familiarity with PLCs, industrial communication protocols, and shop-floor integration technologies is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve technical issues in a structured manner.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate in a global, cross-functional environment.
• Interest in Industry 4.0, Smart Manufacturing, Digital Factory initiatives, and emerging manufacturing technologies.
• A proactive learning mindset and willingness to develop expertise in MES/SCADA platforms and manufacturing innovation solutions.
• Availability to travel up to 20% as required to support project implementation and customer site activities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
