STMicroelectronics Italia invites applications for a MEMS/R&D engineer to join a cross‑functional team developing MEMS technology platforms from feasibility to industrialisation. You will help drive innovation and strengthen ST’s leadership in MEMS.

The role covers driving MEMS technology development, leading process integration, inline data analysis, planning R&D trials, and supporting manufacturing transfer. English business proficiency and teamwork are essential.

Your Role

You will take part in the development of new technology platforms for MEMS sensor products following the different phases from feasibility to prototyping, from qualification to transfer to manufacturing and industrialisation.
You will be part of a cross‑functional team that will contribute to innovating ST technology and product portfolio and consolidate and improve STMicroelectronics leadership in the MEMS market.

• Driving the development and implementation of new MEMS technologies ensuring their adherence to target performances;
• Leading or co‑leading the process integration activities to build the technology platform;
• Performing inline and electrical data analysis during the development stage;
• Planning and characterising R&D trials with other team functions;
• Managing R&D prototypes diffusion;
• Leading problem‑solving tasks during the development and industrialisation phase.

Salary and Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is € 42,000 – € 50,000 gross annual salary (RAL), plus variable pay relevant for the role.

In accordance with the EU Pay Transparency Directive and applicable Italian legislation, this compensation range has been determined based on objective, gender‑neutral criteria, including job responsibilities, required skills, relevant experience, qualifications, and market benchmarks. Placement within the range will depend on the candidate’s profile and demonstrated competencies. The final offer will be made in compliance with the applicable National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL), where relevant, and our internal compensation policies.
