Bosch Sensortec, Milan Design Center, seeks a MEMS design specialist to design MEMS structures and simulate their mechanical and electrical behavior for accelerometer applications.

You will conduct model-based simulations, develop optimization algorithms, and analyze cause-and-effect in designs while collaborating with project management and technology development teams to deliver robust sensor solutions.

Competenze

• Master of Science or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent.
• Fluent English (B2 minimum); German a plus.
• Proficient with MATLAB and Python; FEM tools and Simulink experience preferred.
• 3–5 years of MEMS design and model development experience; cross-functional teamwork.
• Autonomous and structured in a complex development environment.

Job Description

What will you take care of?

You will be working in the Milan Design Center of the Bosch Sensortec Division, where you will have the chance to:

• Take responsibility:Based on specific customer requirements you are designing the MEMS structures with respect to its mechanical and electrical behavior.
• Model based design: You are carrying out dedicated simulations to optimize the designed MEMS structures with focus on accelerometers.
• Drive the future:You are developing new algorithms for design optimization and improve simulation methods. In addition, the analysis of cause chain reactions is required.
• Be part of the team: You are part of a cross functional engineering team and take responsibility for internal activities or work packages in design projects.
• Networking: Beside the coordination of all design and simulation tasks the close cooperation with project management and technology development is a crucial key-factor for success.

Qualifications

What distinguishes you?

• Education: Master of Science or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent
• Languages: Fluent English (B2 as minimum level), German as a plus.
• Software Skills:Proficient coder. Experience with MATLAB/Python and Finite Element Simulation tools required. Additional Simulink skills and experience with AI methods is preferred.
• Working style: autonomous self-organized working in a complex development environment. Structured concept development in the area of simulations and algorithms. Excellent presentation skills.
• Experience and Know-How: Specialist for MEMS design and model development for inertial MEMS sensors (FEM, Matlab, etc.) with at least 3-5 years of experience. Working in cross-functional teams. (ASIC, package, etc.) Experience designing and conducting lab experiments.

Additional Information

In line withourcompensationpolicies, thegrossannualsalary(RAL) forthispositionlieswithinthe range € 50.000 - €60.000 for a 40-hour work week.

Theremunerationpackage also includes:

• An individual performance-related bonus
