What You Will Do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role, you will report to the Senior Medical Manager and will :

  • Be a field-based medical expert in the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) group within the Medical organization;
  • Communicate accurate, clear, and valued information regarding our science and products to the medical community and gather field insights for internal stakeholders;
  • Support medical strategic roles in developing local R&D tactics;
  • Engage with healthcare stakeholders to educate and communicate clinical and scientific data to advance the scientific platform in line with Amgen’s goals;
  • Educate and communicate clinical value, outcomes, and economic data to payers, providers, and stakeholders;
  • Respond to unsolicited inquiries in compliance with MSL standards;
  • Provide and present field observations and insights to internal stakeholders;
  • Execute scientific engagement plans according to annual MSL goals;
  • Develop and implement local outreach plans;
  • Support speaker training and ensure updates on new data;
  • Support Amgen-sponsored research and serve as a study lead if needed;
  • Liaise with investigators in non-sponsored clinical research;
  • Lead or participate in project teams supporting MSL strategies;
  • Advance MSL value proposition, identify gaps, and demonstrate Amgen values;
  • Lead and support congress activities;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues and serve as a point of contact;
  • Maintain clinical expertise and complete training timely; may serve as a trainer or mentor;
  • Cultivate long-term relationships;
  • Document MSL activities and insights;
  • Produce reports and recommendations for site identification;
  • Contribute to educational programs and congress learnings;
  • Assist with dashboard report development.
What We Expect Of You

  • Doctoral or Master’s degree in Sciences or Medicine;
  • At least five years of experience in Scientific/Medical Affairs or clinical practice/research, including three years as an MSL;
  • Expertise in the therapeutic area and interest in latest discoveries;
  • Strong project management and presentation skills;
  • Knowledge of clinical research, drug safety, legal, and compliance environments;
  • Willingness to expand medical and industry knowledge;
  • Data-driven, strategic, patient-centric, and influential mindset;
  • Based in Romagna.
