A leading pharmaceutical company in Segrate, Italy is seeking a Medical Scientific Liaison to engage in scientific discussions with external experts, providing crucial information on therapeutic areas and product offerings. The ideal candidate will have an advanced scientific degree, at least 2 years of relevant pharmaceutical experience, and strong clinical knowledge. This role includes responsibilities in scientific exchange, training, and supporting clinical research efforts.
Our Medical Affairs team advances patient care by engaging in scientific exchange with external medical experts and industry leaders, ensuring the scientific value of our products is understood. We connect, communicate, and train internal employees to ensure a thorough understanding of the science behind the medicine and review further unmet medical needs to support collaboration to differentiate our portfolio.
Medical Scientific Liaisons are scientifically trained and credentialed therapeutic area, disease, and product experts who engage in non-promotional scientific exchange with SLs or KDMs (Scientific Leaders or Key Decision Makers). Their interactions are built on credibility and scientific exchange. MSLs develop and execute action plans aligned with global and local policies, the Medical Affairs Plan (MAP), and ethical guidelines.
The MSL is responsible for being fully versed in the therapeutic area, including all major studies, product information, clinical data, and pipeline data to provide balanced information to SLs, KDMs, and the healthcare community to improve patient care.
The MSL is a field-based medical professional whose primary responsibility is to engage in non-promotional peer-to-peer communication & provide scientific information to SLs and KDMs based on scientific exchange and stakeholder needs.
Internal Support
Work Area: LOMBARDIA, PIEMONTE, LIGURIA, VdA
Education: An advanced scientific degree (MD, PharmD, Ph.D.) is preferred, with clinical knowledge of the therapeutic area. A college degree in pharmacy is the minimum requirement.
Experience: At least 2 years of pharmaceutical experience, preferably in the assigned therapeutic area. Strong knowledge of clinical trial methods, data interpretation, and scientific judgment is required.
