Job Description:

Overview

The MSL provides field-based medical/scientific expertise, ensuring understanding of the disease area and Biogen’s products. They build valued partnerships with key stakeholders in the medical community and healthcare system. MSLs contribute to company success through medical education, scientific information exchange, and supporting research initiatives.

Acts as a trusted discussion partner by engaging in scientific exchanges with HCPs/stakeholders, which may include:

  • Proactive or reactive communication within the product label using non-promotional materials
  • Discussions around relevant Disease Areas
  • Broader communication covering approved and non-approved products and literature
  • Medical and scientific information exchange during medicine development

Explores new agendas within the MSL community and gathers insights to inform activities. Stays updated on therapy advances, research, and knowledge on Biogen products and Disease Areas. May support Medical Research activities and external education, including clinical research coordination.

Collaborates with internal functions and provides expertise to HCPs presenting data on Biogen's products. Must adhere to internal rules and legal/ethical standards, reporting safety and quality issues as required.

Qualifications:
  • BSc; advanced degrees (MD, PhD, PharmD, DNP) preferred or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in Neurology, Immunology/Dermatology, Hematology, or related Medical Affairs roles
  • Post-full-registration hospital practice experience preferred
  • Experience with clinical trials and GCP understanding
  • Knowledge of health economics
  • Technical expertise in relevant therapeutic areas
  • Experience working within local regulations and codes
