A leading company in the biomedical sector seeks a Medical Science Liaison to provide expert knowledge in therapeutic areas and foster partnerships within the healthcare community. The role focuses on medical education, research support, and regulatory compliance while advancing the mission to find therapies for neurological and rare diseases.

Competenze

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in Neurology, Immunology/Dermatology, or related fields.
  • Post-full-registration hospital practice experience is desirable.
  • Experience with clinical trials and understanding of GCP.

Descrizione del lavoro

The MSL provides field-based medical/scientific expertise to ensure understanding of the disease area and Biogen’s products. They build valued partnerships with key stakeholders in the medical community and healthcare system. MSLs contribute through medical education, information exchange, and supporting research initiatives.

They act as trusted discussion partners by engaging in scientific/medical exchanges with HCPs/stakeholders, which may include:

  • Proactive or reactive communication within the product label (using non-promotional materials)
  • Broad discussions on relevant Disease Areas
  • Communication covering both approved and non-approved products and literature
  • Information gathering from medical experts and thought leaders during medicine development

MSLs explore new agendas, gather insights to inform activities, and stay updated on therapy advances and research. They may support medical research activities, internal training, and external education, including clinical research coordination.

They collaborate with other internal teams, provide expertise to stakeholders presenting data on Biogen’s disease areas, and must adhere to internal and legal standards. Safety and quality-related information must be reported in accordance with internal rules.

Qualifications

  • BSc; advanced degrees (MD, PhD, PharmD, DNP) preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in therapeutic areas like Neurology, Immunology/Dermatology, Hematology from Medical Affairs or related fields
  • Post-full-registration hospital practice experience is desirable
  • Experience with clinical trials and GCP understanding
  • Knowledge of health economics and technical expertise in relevant therapeutic areas
  • Experience working within local regulations and ethical standards
