A leading multinational pharmaceutical company is seeking a Medical Science Liaison in Oncology to strengthen scientific relationships with healthcare professionals and oversee clinical trials. The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in life sciences, relevant oncology experience, and excellent communication skills in English. This is a permanent position with home-based working options in Emilia-Romagna.

MEDICAL SCIENCE LIAISON (MSL) - ONCOLOGY
Description of the mission
their role is to implement the medical plan at the local level.
Scientific exchange with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs)
Develop and sustain long-term scientific relationships with Thought Leaders (TLs)
Exchange complex scientific information with HCPs
Identify topics of interests among HCPs and organize local medical peer-to-peer meetings
2. Field link for clinical trials and Managed access programs
Oversee clinical studies and Managed access programs and support HCPs’ needs
Provide feedback on ongoing studies and Managed access programs to HQ
3. Internal scientific support
Collaborate to the development of the Medical Plan and implement the local action plan
Participate to sales force training and support sales force with scientific information

Training, Experience and Associated Skills
Advanced degree in life sciences (e.G., PharmD, PhD, MD, MS) and / or prior experience as a MSL
Excellent English (It will be tested during the interviews)
Knowledge of clinical medicine, disease management, and medical research in at least one therapeutic area, oncology preferred
Preferably familiar with local health-political laws and regulations
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in oncology including significant time in a customer-facing role
Understanding of the hospital environment and healthcare system, as well as an understanding of clinical processes (e.G. trial design, study implementation)
Ability to design and moderate medical meetings to facilitate peer-to-peer discussions
High ethical standards and recognized personal integrity
Willing to travel with overnight stays
