For our dynamic growing, innovative Brands division within an already established big generic International pharmaceutical company, we are looking for an experienced Medical Affairs field professional who dares to look outside the clear-cut frames of a common big pharma MSL job and who wants to operate in an autonomous entrepreneurial way. This job offers you the opportunity to develop broadly by engaging in all aspects of the business and managing your own daily work.

Team and Reporting

You will join a team of 3 Medical Managers in Italy, responsible for the Medical Affairs strategy and execution of medical projects. You will also provide Medical Affairs support to Sales and Marketing colleagues, with a demonstrable affinity for seeing commercial opportunities. You live in Italy and speak English to communicate with the European Management team. You will report to the Lead Medical Managers Europe, located in various European offices, including Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Major Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Develop Medical Affairs strategy and execute scientific projects such as publications and advisory boards.
  • Identify and develop relationships with country KOLs and other influencers, utilizing evidence-based information.
  • Support the development and launch of products through scientific exchange in melanoma.
  • Assist with Early Access Program requests from HCPs in Italy for melanoma patients.
  • Provide business support to Italian marketing, commercial, and market access teams for Odomzo (sonidegib) indicated for locally advanced basal cell carcinoma.
  • Lead the process for approval and monitor progress of investigator-initiated trials.
  • Disseminate clinical and scientific information about marketed and pipeline compounds in a timely, compliant, and ethical manner.
  • Build and support networks in Derma-oncology and other TAs.
  • Communicate emerging data to experts and respond to HCP inquiries.
  • Support colleagues in organizing HCP events with medical content.
Education & Qualifications
  • Mandatory: (Bio)medical or scientific academic degree.
  • Driver’s license.
  • Minimum of 3 years of MSL or Medical Manager experience in the innovative pharmaceutical industry.
  • At least one year of experience in a commercial function within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Fluent in Italian (native) and English.
  • Desirable: Dermatology or Oncology experience.
  • Desirable: Experience with Early Access Programs in Italy.
