An established international pharmaceutical company is seeking a dynamic Medical Affairs Professional to join its growing Brands division. This role offers the chance to think creatively and operate autonomously while managing your own tasks. You will develop and execute Medical Affairs strategies, support Sales and Marketing teams, and build relationships with key opinion leaders. Job Opportunity: Medical Affairs Professional in Italy

For our dynamic and growing Brands division within an established international pharmaceutical company, we are seeking an experienced Medical Affairs field professional. This role requires someone who dares to think beyond the traditional pharma MSL role and who wishes to operate autonomously and entrepreneurially. The position offers broad development opportunities across various aspects of the business and involves managing your own daily tasks.

You will be part of a team of 3 Medical Managers in Italy. Your responsibilities include developing and executing Medical Affairs strategies and projects, such as scientific publications and advisory boards. You will also support Sales and Marketing teams, with a demonstrated ability to identify commercial opportunities being essential. Residing in Italy and speaking English are required for communication with the European Management team, based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. You will report to the Lead Medical Managers Europe.

Major Tasks & Responsibilities
  1. Develop Medical Affairs strategies and execute scientific projects, including publications and advisory boards.
  2. Build and nurture peer-to-peer relationships with country KOLs and other influencers, using evidence-based scientific information.
  3. Support the development and launch of products through scientific exchange, particularly in melanoma.
  4. Assist with Early Access Program requests from healthcare professionals for melanoma patients.
  5. Provide business support for Italian marketing, commercial, and market access activities related to Odomzo (sonidegib) for basal cell carcinoma.
  6. Lead the approval process for investigator-initiated trials and monitor their progress.
  7. Disseminate clinical and scientific information about marketed and pipeline products in a timely, compliant, and ethical manner.
  8. Establish and support networks in Derma-oncology and other therapeutic areas.
  9. Communicate emerging data to experts and respond to healthcare professional inquiries.
  10. Support colleagues in organizing HCP events by providing medical content support.
Education & Qualifications
  • Mandatory: (Bio)medical or scientific academic degree.
  • Driver’s license.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an MSL or Medical Manager in the innovative pharmaceutical industry.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a commercial role within the same industry.
  • Native Italian speaker and fluent in English.
  • Desirable: Experience in Dermatology or Oncology.
  • Desirable: Experience with Early Access Programs in Italy.
