Competenze

Job Description: Medical Affairs Professional (Italy)

For our dynamic and growing Brands division within an established international pharmaceutical company, we are seeking an experienced Medical Affairs field professional. This role requires someone willing to operate autonomously and entrepreneurially, with opportunities to develop broadly by engaging in all aspects of the business and managing daily tasks.

You will join a team of three Medical Managers in Italy, responsible for developing and executing Medical Affairs strategies and projects. You will also support Sales and Marketing colleagues, with a demonstrable affinity for identifying commercial opportunities. Candidates must reside in Italy and speak English to communicate with the European Management team, based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. You will report to the Lead Medical Managers Europe.

Major Tasks & Responsibilities
  1. Develop Medical Affairs strategies and execute scientific projects such as publications and advisory boards.
  2. Build and nurture relationships with KOLs and influencers in the scientific and healthcare communities, based on scientific and medical evidence.
  3. Support the development and launch of products through scientific exchanges, particularly in melanoma.
  4. Assist with Early Access Program requests from HCPs in Italy for melanoma patients.
  5. Provide business support for the Italian market regarding Odomzo (sonidegib) for basal cell carcinoma.
  6. Lead the approval process for investigator-initiated trials and monitor their progress.
  7. Disseminate clinical and scientific information about marketed and pipeline products in a compliant, ethical, and timely manner.
  8. Establish and support networks in Derma-oncology and other potential therapeutic areas.
  9. Communicate emerging data to experts and respond to healthcare professional inquiries.
  10. Assist colleagues in organizing HCP events by providing medical content support.
Education & Qualifications
  • Mandatory: (Bio)medical or scientific academic degree.
  • Driver’s license.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an MSL or Medical Manager in the innovative pharmaceutical industry.
  • At least one year of experience in a commercial role within the industry.
  • Native Italian speaker and fluent in English.
  • Desirable: Dermatology or Oncology experience.
  • Desirable: Experience with Early Access Programs in Italy.
