Job Opportunity: Medical Affairs Professional in Italy

For our dynamic and growing Brands division within an established international pharmaceutical company, we seek an experienced Medical Affairs field professional. This role requires someone willing to think beyond traditional pharma MSL boundaries and operate autonomously in an entrepreneurial manner. It offers broad development opportunities across all facets of the business and the chance to manage your own daily activities.

You will be part of a team of 3 Medical Managers in Italy, responsible for the Medical Affairs strategy and execution of medical projects. You will also provide support to Sales and Marketing colleagues, with a demonstrated ability to identify commercial opportunities. Residency in Italy and fluency in English are required for communication with the European management team, based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. You will report to the Lead Medical Managers Europe.

Major Tasks & Responsibilities

1. Develop and execute Medical Affairs strategies and scientific projects, including publications and advisory boards.
2. Build peer-to-peer relationships with KOLs and influencers, utilizing evidence-based information.
3. Support product development and launch through scientific exchange, particularly in melanoma.
4. Assist with Early Access Program requests for melanoma patients in Italy.
5. Support business activities related to Odomzo (sonidegib) for basal cell carcinoma.
6. Lead investigator-initiated trials and monitor their progress.
7. Disseminate clinical and scientific information about marketed and pipeline products in a compliant and ethical manner.
8. Establish and support networks in Derma-oncology and other therapeutic areas.
9. Communicate emerging data to experts and respond to healthcare professional inquiries.
10. Assist colleagues in organizing HCP events by providing medical content support.

Education & Qualifications

1. Mandatory: (Bio)medical or scientific academic degree.
2. Driver’s license.
3. Minimum 3 years of experience as MSL or Medical Manager in innovative pharma.
4. At least 1 year in a commercial role within the industry.
5. Native Italian speaker and fluent in English.
6. Desirable: Dermatology or Oncology experience.
7. Desirable: Experience with Early Access Programs in Italy.
