Job Opportunity: Medical Affairs Professional in Italy

For our dynamic and growing Brands division within an established international pharmaceutical company, we are seeking an experienced Medical Affairs field professional. This role offers the opportunity to operate autonomously and develop broadly by engaging in all aspects of the business and managing your own daily work.

You will join a team of three Medical Managers in Italy and will be responsible for the Medical Affairs strategy and execution of medical projects. You will also provide medical support to sales and marketing teams, requiring a demonstrable affinity for identifying commercial opportunities. The candidate must reside in Italy and speak English to communicate with the European management team, located in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Major Tasks & Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute Medical Affairs strategies and scientific projects, including publications and advisory boards.
  2. Identify and develop relationships with KOLs and healthcare influencers, utilizing evidence-based information.
  3. Support the development and launch of products through scientific exchange, particularly in melanoma.
  4. Assist with Early Access Program requests for melanoma patients in Italy.
  5. Support business activities related to Odomzo (sonidegib) for basal cell carcinoma.
  6. Lead the approval process for investigator-initiated trials and monitor progress.
  7. Disseminate clinical and scientific information ethically and timely regarding marketed and pipeline compounds.
  8. Build and support networks in Derma-oncology and other potential therapeutic areas.
  9. Communicate emerging data to experts and respond to healthcare professional inquiries.
  10. Assist colleagues in organizing HCP events with medical content support.
Education & Qualifications
  1. Mandatory: (Bio)medical or scientific academic degree.
  2. Driver’s license.
  3. Minimum of 3 years of experience as an MSL or Medical Manager in innovative pharma.
  4. At least 1 year of experience in a commercial role within the pharmaceutical industry.
  5. Native Italian speaker and fluent in English.
  6. Desirable: Dermatology or Oncology experience.
  7. Desirable: Experience with Early Access Programs in Italy.
