An established industry player is seeking an experienced Medical Affairs professional to join their innovative Brands division. This role offers a unique opportunity to operate autonomously while contributing to the Medical Affairs strategy and execution of scientific projects. You will collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing teams, leveraging your strong scientific knowledge and strategic thinking to identify commercial opportunities. If you are passionate about making a difference in the pharmaceutical field and have a background in Dermatology or Oncology, this position could be the perfect fit for you.

Competenze

  • Minimum of 3 years as MSL or Medical Manager in innovative pharma.
  • Fluent in Italian (native) and English.
  • Desirable: Experience with Early Access Programs in Italy.

Job Description

For our dynamic growing, innovative Brands division within an established international pharmaceutical company, we are seeking an experienced Medical Affairs field professional. This role requires someone who dares to think beyond the traditional pharma MSL job and desires to operate autonomously and entrepreneurially. The position offers broad development opportunities by engaging in all aspects of the business and managing your own daily work.

You will be part of a team of 3 Medical Managers in Italy, responsible for the Medical Affairs strategy and execution of medical projects. You will also support Sales and Marketing colleagues, with a demonstrable ability to see commercial opportunities. The candidate must reside in Italy and speak English for communication with the European Management team, which is based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. You will report to the Lead Medical Managers Europe.

Major Tasks & Responsibilities
  1. Develop Medical Affairs strategy and execute scientific projects, including publications and advisory boards.
  2. Identify and build relationships with KOLs and influencers in the scientific and healthcare community using evidence-based information.
  3. Support the development and launch of products through scientific exchange, particularly in melanoma.
  4. Assist with Early Access Program requests from HCPs in Italy for melanoma patients.
  5. Support business activities related to Odomzo (sonidegib) for basal cell carcinoma in Italy.
  6. Lead the process for investigator-initiated trials and monitor their progress.
  7. Disseminate clinical and scientific information about marketed and pipeline compounds ethically and timely.
  8. Establish links with networks in Derma-oncology and future TAs.
  9. Communicate emerging data to experts and respond to HCP inquiries.
  10. Support colleagues in organizing HCP events with medical content.
Education & Qualifications
  • Mandatory: (Bio)medical or scientific degree.
  • Driver’s license.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as MSL or Medical Manager in innovative pharma.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a commercial role within pharma.
  • Fluent in Italian (native) and English.
  • Desirable: Dermatology or Oncology experience.
  • Desirable: Experience with Early Access Programs in Italy.
