Job Overview

Healthcare professionals are needed to provide medical services to support the Medical Treatment Facilities and Health Clinics within US Army Medical Command, Regional Health Command Europe, and other DoD agencies including US Navy and US Air Forces in Europe.

Qualifications
  • Degree: Certificate from a recognized medical laboratory technician training program accredited by NAACLS, ABHES, or acceptable to AMT.
  • Certification: Certification/registration as determined by ASCP or AMT.
  • Experience: Knowledge of standard and molecular laboratory techniques, or at least 2 years of clinical laboratory technician experience in the last 5 years.
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
  • Perform clinical laboratory tests across various sections such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, etc.
  • Prepare specimens, reagents, and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Recognize and troubleshoot instrument malfunctions.
  • Conduct quality control procedures and maintain records.
  • Prepare specimens for transport and proper disposal of biological waste.
  • Perform patient testing tasks including nucleic acid extraction, PCR, DNA sequencing, etc.
  • Report results accurately into the LIS (CHCS), maintain documentation for at least two years.
  • Participate in quality management, training, safety protocols, and external training as required.
  • Track specimens, ensure timely submission of results, and perform additional tasks as assigned.
Support and Compliance

This position is eligible for support under NATO SOFA articles 72 or 73. Ensure compliance with all safety, training, and reporting protocols.
