Project Portfolio Managerto manage the Project Stage Gate process across Corin, a manufacturer of hip and knee implants and medical technologies.Please note this role can be based in Italy, Cirencester (UK), Germany, or Belgium.The key responsibilities of the Project Portfolio Manager include:Stage Gate processManage the Stage Gate process for all NPI projects across the organization (Implants, Techno-hardware, Techno-software).Ensure all NPI projects follow the Company’s Stage Gate process.Maintain, refine, and improve the existing Stage Gate process.Develop the Stage Gate process further and align it with linked processes such as S&OP, Finance, CEC, Product rationalization, and Design procedures.Communicate and train staff to ensure proper understanding and use of the Stage Gate process across departments involved in NPI projects.Project Approval Committee (PAC) and NPI boardSchedule and prepare agendas, collect data, and distribute presentations in advance.Lead and facilitate PAC and NPI meetings, ensuring all points are addressed.Draft and distribute meeting minutes with an approval step.Follow up on actions from meetings.Ensure clear and effective communication.Challenge project leaders and managers to ensure proposals, plans, and data are consistent and robust.Challenge directors to clarify decision-making processes.Identify project conflicts and update project priorities according to company strategy.Maintain accurate monthly project portfolio reports.Update Project slide decks and reporting documents.Refine and improve PAC and monthly reporting processes.Gather consensus on Gates to be presented for NPI approval.Project Core Teams (PCT)Enhance PCT functioning, cross-functional team building, and resource management.Collaborate with project leaders for efficient decision-making and schedule performance.Coordinate additional meetings as needed.Identify training needs and implement skill development in project management.Other responsibilitiesManage processes and systems supporting product development according to quality standards.Harmonize Design quality systems and SOPs linked to new project development.Ensure projects meet investment criteria and support strategic goals.Stay updated on project management best practices and introduce them as appropriate.Ensure project visibility to stakeholders via suitable software or reports.RequirementsMaster’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Good time management and presentation skills.Strong listening, negotiation, and influencing skills.Experience in Programme/Project Management within high-tech industries.Proficiency in IT, numeracy, and presentation tools.Business-oriented, flexible, and responsive.Motivated, autonomous, and problem-solving skills.Corin is a medical device company with innovative robotic platforms for joint replacement surgery, offering clinically proven solutions and advanced technologies like OMNIBotics & OPS systems, enabling precise, patient-specific procedures with improved outcomes.Corin is an equal opportunity employer, committed to diversity and inclusion, prohibiting discrimination and harassment of any kind.
