NABA, la più grande Accademia privata in Italia, cerca un 'Assistente Laboratorio Media' per supportare le attività didattiche a Roma. Il candidato ideale ha un diploma in Media Design e ha maturato esperienza nelle produzioni cinematografiche. Le sue responsabilità includeranno supportare l'organizzazione del laboratorio e garantire la qualità e la sicurezza delle attrezzature.

Competenze

  • Esperienza di 2-3 anni in set di produzione Cinema/Tv.
  • Ottima conoscenza del flusso di lavoro di post-produzione audio e video.
  • Capacità di gestione manutentiva hardware e software.

NABA, Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti, is an education Academy focusing on arts and design: it is the largest private Academy in Italy, and the first one to have been recognized by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR), back in 1980. As a recognized Academy, NABA offers academic diplomas equivalent to first and second level university degrees in the fields of design, fashion, graphics and communication, multimedia arts, set design, and visual arts.

NABA is currently seeking motivated individuals for the role of

MEDIA LABORATORY ASSISTANT

The successful candidate will join the Media Laboratory team in Rome. Reporting directly to the Media Lab Specialist, he/she will support the teams in way to guarantee the didactic activities of the courses/ programs in compliance with health and safety regulations. Additionally, he/she will provide support to the supply of materials and equipment and support the optimization of activities in order to improve the quality and technological innovation.

The selected candidate will carry out the following activities:

  • Support the Media Lab Specialist in scheduling and organizing the Media Laboratory.
  • Provide appropriate information on the available equipment in relation to the didactic needs.
  • Support the participation of the students in the presentation of health and safety guidelines at the beginning of academic year, in order to present Media Laboratory and different equipment and materials.
  • Guarantee the quality of laboratories (in terms of technical competencies, spaces and equipment) providing full support to faculty and students during all academic activities.
  • Support the supply of necessary materials for didactic activities.
  • Support ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of equipment.
  • Support the loan of equipment to students and teachers and if necessary, participate and assist them on institutional activities in and out of campus.
  • Support the implementation of policies and procedures set to guarantee a safety work environment in laboratories in compliance with regulatory law.
  • Ensure the correct disposal of waste products from laboratory activities.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or Degree in Media Design or equivalent, ideally with previous experience of 2/3 years on set for Cinema/Tv productions. Previous experience as Laboratory Assistant in academic media and lighting laboratories is appreciated.

He/She has strong organizational and time management skills. Problem solving attitude well developed negotiation competencies, flexibility, and proactivity, capable of working in a multicultural and multinational environment.

Furthermore he/she has professional knowledge of Audio and Video post-production workflow experience for film and animation (Avid Media Composer, Da Vinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Nuke, Toom Boom).

Good experience in Microsoft operating systems, including installation and configuration, upgrading the entire system to enable compatible software on all computers. Experience with computer and peripheral hardware servicing and basic repairs. Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability. Troubleshooting hardware and software issues. Ensuring electrical safety standards are met. Repairing or replacing damaged hardware.

Type of contract: part-time (16 hours)
