Job summary

Allison Off-Highway Drive & Motion Systems in Rovereto, Italy, seeks an Engineer, Mechatronics Validation & Verification to join the Technology Center laboratory. The role combines hands‑on testing with mechanical design and CAD development of prototype components and test benches.

You will manage verification & validation activities end‑to‑end, support laboratory logistics, 5S, and HSE, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams across R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality to drive product

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or closely related field.
• Hands‑on laboratory testing and verification experience preferred.
• Strong CAD skills and ability to design test fixtures and components.
• Experience with data analysis in Excel, MATLAB, or Python.

Responsibilities

• Support and independently manage verification and validation activities for mechanical, hydraulic and mechatronic components in the Technology Center laboratory.
• Review Test Requests for clarity, feasibility, and alignment with project requirements.
• Define test concepts, objectives, and acceptance criteria; develop procedures and test conditions.
• Design mechanical components and test fixtures using CAD; ensure manufacturability and workshop alignment.
• Execute laboratory tests safely and according to defined procedures; analyze data and report results.
• Contribute to day‑to‑day laboratory operations, including equipment logistics and 5S/HSE compliance.
• Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality to support product development.
