A leading company is seeking a Controls Technician to ensure operational excellence in manufacturing. This role involves preventative and curative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting the engineering team with new technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in mechanics and electronics, coupled with a Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical or Mechatronics and fluency in multiple languages.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical or Mechatronics.
• Fluency in French and English required, other languages a plus.
• 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in the automotive industry.

Mansioni

• Perform machinery and test equipment repair and preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate external companies and participate in root cause analysis.
• Document maintenance actions and maintain inventory.

The aim of the maintenance team is to keep the manufacturing process 100% operational and minimize the amount of downtime under the respect of Goodyear safety standards, focusing on cost effectiveness and at expected quality.

Part of the maintenance team, the Controls technician is in charge to perform preventative maintenance and curative maintenance. he / she helps troubleshoot and quickly repair any mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic or electrical problems that are linked to the manufacturing processes. He also support other competency like Facility, Calibration and Engineering (helping to guarantee the continuity of the equipment and systems).

Responsibilities :

• Perform machinery and test equipment repair, modification and preventive maintenance (mechanics & controls)
• Coordinate and supervise external companies working on site
• Participate to root cause analysis and plan establishment in case of major repair
• Report and document problems and maintenance actions on equipment
• Maintain spare parts and items inventory
• Prepare and provide test & process equipment
• Propose and participate to the continuous improvement of the test equipment and facilities
• Comply to safety guidelines
• Actively participate in housekeeping of maintenance premises
• Actively participate to the engineering & safety roadmap deployment
• Document and record all machine upgrade
• Support the troubleshooting of the new technology equipment
• Support engineering team during new equipment selection / definition

To join our team you will need :

Education :

The candidate should have a Bachelor of science in Electromechanical / Mechatronics.

Languages :

Fluency in French and English is mandatory. Any other European language is considered as an asset.

Experience :

• 5 years experience in relevant environment, ideally automotive industry
• Technical background in mechanics
• Technical background in electrical / electronics domain
• Project management

Skills & Qualifications :

• Computer skills (basics in programming is an asset)
• Strong knowledge in mechanics
• Siemens / ABB / Rockwell knowledges (drives setup, troubleshooting,…)
